Well, the elections are coming fast and I am still confused about who to vote for. I do not side with a party, I just vote for whom I think will do the best job at making me happy. So far I’m with Obama, and kinda for Hillary. I just don’t know really which way to go, so I hopped on the internets (yes internets) and looked at their websites. Obama and Hillary have outstanding pages, with flash, detail, and information. I was surprised to find out that they had completely different setups. I decided to also visit the sites of the other candidates as well.
I saw that all the candidates had effective use of Java and Flash. They really utilized it’s potential at making everything appear confident and attractive. I also noticed that every candidate had a way to donate through the internet via credit card or whatever. There were also little ads, which I found amusing because you would think that a campaign this important would be sponsored by crap loads of useless products for the campaign.
Another feature I enjoyed were that some candidates had count-down timers and also used dates for the next primaries and so forth. There were also many BLOGs that I saw, I’m sure that none of them were actually written by the candidate however they were still to date and active. I didn’t see a forum anywhere, which is a good idea on their part; because if you have a forum and leave it open for public posts you may get bad criticism or spam.
Overall I think that each candidate did a fair job with their site layout, I did however enjoy Hilary’s the most because it was easily navigate-able and held more eye candy.
